Can you inspire children to love maths?  

We are looking to appoint an outstanding experienced teacher to lead and share excellent classroom practice and continue achieve students’ attachment and progress in Maths.  Availability to lead by example and inspire a love of Maths is essential.    

Hounsdown School achieved a +0.64 P8 score for Maths in 2016 ranking 1st in 70 Hampshire Maintained / Academy schools.    

Hounsdown is an 11-16 Science College which converted to an Academy in August 2011. We are a popular, over-subscribed, Good (Ofsted 2012), Hampshire school and a strategic partner for the ETC Teaching School Alliance. Our school has a welcoming ethos with students being courteous and respectful. We are committed to supporting all staff in their career aspirations and growing new leaders. The school motto is ‘Be the best that you can be’.  

Hounsdown School offer all staff EduHealth Foundations Membership and the opportunity to also benefit from private healthcare, childcare vouchers, the cycle to work scheme, loan of a school laptop for specified teaching roles and a mentor programme for your first year.
