The Trustees at this successful independent school are seeking to appoint well-qualified, enthusiastic and effective classroom practitioner to join our team of dedicated Teaching and Support Staff in September 2016. Applicants should be passionate about raising student achievement and ensuring every student reaches their potential.
The successful candidate will be able to teach Maths from Y7 to Y11 and IT in KS3 in the secondary section of the school. Maths groups are set in Y7-11 and in Y7-9 the school currently follows the “New Maths Framework” textbook course. In Y10-11 the AQA Linear GCSE course is followed. Naturally courses are regularly being reviewed to reflect national curriculum and exam board developments.
Examination results in Maths are very high with 95% of Year 11 students gaining A*-C (44% A*-A). Group size as small, learners are enthusiastic and behaviour is excellent. The staff at the school are friendly and supportive of each other creating a lovely atmosphere to work in. Remuneration is more than competitive.
