St Mary’s College Gunnedah is a mixed, non-selective, independent Roman Catholic secondary school in Australia, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Gunnedah, New South Wales, has approximately 400 students on record. 

St Mary’s College Gunnedah was founded in 1879. Facilities at the school include visual arts rooms, a food technology laboratory, use of Apple iPads, a couselling room, a dedicated careers room, five computer rooms, landscape grounds and tennis courts.

St Mary’s College Gunnedah’s vision is to provide an outstanding education to all students in a caring and stimulating learning environment. The school’s motto is: “Via Vitae Virtus”, translating to “Virtue is the Way of Life.” The school strives to motivate and encourage each student and help them to realise and achieve their full academic and personal potential, while nurturing their unique skills and talents so that they leave with the skills, knowledge and experiences to go on to lead successful and fulfilling future lives. Parents are encouraged to play an active and present role in the school community and to take an interest in their children’s education, leading to all pupils benefiting from a strong supportive system both in class and during their home lives. Extra-curricular activities throughout the school years are organised to further enrich students learning experiences, including writing competitions, band practice, sports clubs and music lessons. The school also provides extensive careers support to help ensure that students have a sense of ambition and purpose for the future.
