Maths Teacher 0.6 - full time
We are seeking a committed Maths specialist to teach intervention to KS 3, 4, and 5.
This post is to start as soon as possible or Easter 2018. All posts are suitable for NQTs. The Governors of St Mary's will make an additional recruitment payment to appointed teachers who apply direct to the school (i.e. not through an agency/third party).
St Mary’s is an eight form entry coeducational, comprehensive, church school with academy status. The current student roll is 1109 and is due to grow to 1200 over the next three years. It has an increasing percentage of students from different ethnic backgrounds and serves a wide ranging community. The school has a strong focus on inclusion. Recent inspections (SIAS Section 48 (Church School) and (Ofsted November 2010) recognised this work. The SIAS S48 Inspection judged the school to be a Good Church School. The Ofsted inspection also confirmed that we are a Good school. Following our summer examination results, St Mary's was the most improved school in Hertfordshire for 2010 and the 12th most improved school in the country.The school has SSAT Outstanding Improvement Awards for 2010 and 2011.
St Mary’s a very exciting place to be as the school moved to a newly built school for the start of the summer term 2010. This has provided significantly improved facilities and an excellent space in which to work for students and staff alike.
