Do you want to work in an award winning school (NAS Excellence Award 2018) with a small number of youngsters (40 on roll) and a real commitment to ensuring these youngsters thrive? We are seeking vibrant and exciting teacher who can offer Math’s up to GCSE, A level would be an advantage, but is not essential. Prospective candidates need to have the desire and ability to meet the individual learning needs of our young people, all of whom have and EHC plan, to allow them to succeed and flourish. The teaching at Roman Fields is in either very small groups, or on a 1:1 basis. The majority of our students' have a primary need related to autism, the needs of others stem from social emotional and mental health difficulties.
Ofsted graded the provision as 'good' in 2014, with the care and support for the young people recognised as a considerable strength. Since this date all measureable outcomes have improved significantly, as noted by by our HIP, an independent HMI and the Autism Accreditation teams of 2014 and 2017. Our nomination for the NAS 2018 excellence award followed our second inspection, notification that we had one came in March or 2018. Feedback from these external sources is incredibly strong, something we hope Ofsted recognise during their next inspection, which is due any day.
If you are that energetic visionary teacher with the ability to motivate and empower young people to maximise their potential and want to be part of something special, we would welcome your application.

Roman Fields is a county wide service which interacts with all area organisations, county developments and provisions. It is an exciting and unique provision which uses creativity and innovation to reach and engage young people. For some young people the provision is part of a transition package or a short term placement pending further assessment. For others it is a potential permanent solution to their educational needs. Programmes are established by the SENCO and Assistant Head in consultation with the referring officer, parents/carers and the young person. The provision works in partnership with other colleges, alternative education providers and other professionals to try to facilitate the optimum package of support on an individual basis.
