With its 300 year history Rawlins is routed in the small village community of Quorn in which it is located. Close to the university town of Loughborough, it is well served by a good range of facilities, retaining an old world charm. Quorn is surrounded by beautiful countryside in the heart of Charnwood.

Rawlins is a popular and successful 11-19 Academy serving a diverse catchment area. The Loughborough area recently underwent a major educational restructure from 11-14 high schools and 14-19 upper schools to all through schools. Now that this transition is complete and embedded, Rawlins is ready to move to the next stage of development. Our aim is to be a beacon of inclusion and innovation. Currently we are oversubscribed at Key Stage 3, and we also attract a large number of external pupils to our Sixth Form.

We are an inclusive school having an ASD and a Moderate Learning Difficulties specialist unit on site alongside our school’s SEND support base and Success Centre. Pupils who attend these units are an integrated part of our school community and taught within the school by mainstream staff.

Beyond results, we are very proud of the opportunities which all students have across many successful areas including sport, the arts and charity work. We aim to inspire our pupils to find their talents and their passions through a broad and balanced curriculum; to be curious about learning; to relish a challenge and to have both confidence and resilience.
