Job overview
Teacher of Maths plus an additional subject Mainscale / UPS + SEN
Forest Moor School is a small, well resourced school for primary and secondary age students with social, emotional and mental health needs, where young people receive individualised support to maximise their potential.
We believe that high expectations, effective communications with staff and parents and good quality teaching ensures that students make the best academic and sociial and emotional progress possible.
At a difficult time in education we value the creativity, solution focus and professionalism of teachers who are pupil centred and have a genuine opportunity to have an impact on young people.
Forest Moor School would like to appoint an outstanding qualified teacher who can offer maths (and one other subject) and who will inspire and motivate students and effectively personalise learning to small class groups across Key Stages 3 and 4. Providing evidence of student progress is an important element of the role as is the ability to display a range of effective approaches to the development of young people with complex special educational needs.
For the right individual, this will be a unique and rewarding position and an opportunity to work within a specialist field.
If you would like to visit the school or discuss the post in further detail, please contact the Headteacher, Marc Peart, on 01423 779232.
An application pack is available by emailing jo.sedgwick@forestmoor.n-yorks.sch.uk.
Applications must be submitted on the school’s application form. CV’s will not be accepted. Closing date: Monday 16 June 2017
