Poole High School is an oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school serving families throughout the historic town of Poole. As one of the largest schools in this selective catchment, we pride ourselves on the fact that all students thrive in this caring and collaborative team. 

The school has just achieved its best ever set of results for the second successive year and this year we are the most successful comprehensive school in the authority. 

The department has transformed itself in the last four years and is model of good practice for others. Following our inspection November 2016 the HMI described Poole High School as a good school that is ‘rapidly improving’. Maths attained 77% A*-C and 75% three levels of progress with 21% of the cohort achieving A or A*. Maths is highlighted in the Ofsted report as an area of excellence in the school.

The school has delightful landscaped grounds and is very well resourced, being located at the heart of the town with excellent access by road and public transport. Our students are well motivated and co-operative, and the team spirit in this large enthusiastic department is second to none.
