Focus School Northwich Campus is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, forward thinking and outstanding Maths Teacher (with potential to take on Phase Leader responsibilities), who can continue to inspire and enthuse our students from KS3 to KS5 to achieve at the highest levels whilst supporting the development of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating a climate for learning that is conducive for excellent practice

• Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives 

• Differentiating to provide support for students with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) and challenge for those who are gifted and talented

• Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest

• Developing approaches to Self-Directed Learning and use technology to support learning

• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning 

• Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest

• Produce reports for parents in line with the school calendar

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work

• Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and set an outstanding example to stakeholders through personal and professional conduct

You will:

• Have Qualified Teacher Status and a higher-level qualification in Maths 

• Have an up to date knowledge of the KS3 to KS5 National Curriculum and GCSE and A-Level exam specifications for Maths

• Have experience of teaching Maths to Post-16 students

• Be relentlessly positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude

• Be an experienced teacher or an exceptional NQT

• Enjoy being part of a supportive team

• Be caring and enthusiastic

• Respect the school’s Ethos and Values
