Job overview

Vision for Education are recruiting for a Maths Teacher on behalf of a School in Leeds that caters for pupils that have been placed into a setting outside of mainstream education that caters for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a maternity cover and will likely run from September to Easter. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils in Maths through the use of creative and inclusive lessons plans that are fun and tailored to each individual child's needs. The benefits of working in this setting is that you have between 3-7 pupils in any given class, and have full say on how those lessons are delivered to achieve the desired outcomes. To be considered for this post, you must possess an unwavering commitment to raising aspirations in young people.

To be considered for this post, you must also have the following qualities and attributes: 

  • Hold QTS
  • Be an experienced Maths Teacher
  • Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service, or be willing to undergo one.
  • Must want full time permanent work
  • Must have experience working with pupils that display challenging behaviour or have Social, Emotional and mental Health issues.
