Required from September 2018, we are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated professional to join our highly committed team of 11 teachers to teach Mathematics in our popular over-subscribed, mixed school of over 1200 students.
QPCS is a very diverse and successful school, rated good by Ofsted in February 2016. We are committed to the highest of standards in all we do, and set ourselves challenging targets. We invest heavily in maintaining a high quality of teaching and learning which continues to improve the academic performance of our students.
QPCS is committed to mixed-attainment teaching to ensure that all students can aspire to achieve the highest grades; to facilitate this in the mathematics faculty our curriculum from years 7 to 10 is individualised and resource-based. Last year 72% of students achieved grades 9-4 in mathematics, 23% achieved 9-7!
Mathematics and Further Mathematics A levels are both extremely popular, they are regularly chosen by nearly half of our thriving sixth form so we would particularly value applications from teachers well-qualified to teach at KS5.
