The role

This One-to-One Maths Tutor role will require the successful candidate to contribute to raising standards of student attainment.  You will be required to plan, implement, and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum in Maths/Numeracy for the one-to-one students.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role include to:

• Deliver intervention programs to individuals preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with departmental staff

• Discuss reasons for underperformance with students, through interview

• Work with other professionals such as Learning Managers and Teaching Assistants to support students

• Comply with school policies and procedures at all times

Hourly rate:

£29.16 for tutors with QTS

£21.00 for tutors with a relevant degree but without QTS

£14.34 for tutors with no degree or QTS

Requirements

Experience and qualifications required for this One-to-One Maths Tutor position include:

• A-Level Maths qualification 

• Experience of working in a school environment (desirable)

• Ability to support students with English work up to GCSE level

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• Good time management and organisational skills
