We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Matron to join the pastoral team in a junior boarding house. This is a term time position and non-residential. The hours required are 8.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Friday.
The role of a Matron is one of trust and responsibility. The Matron will not only manage the domestic standards but will deal with the health and welfare of the girls. The Matron has a special role assisting the Housemistress to create a happy, respectful and caring atmosphere in the house.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the pastoral care provision. Flexibility, resilience and empathy are essential requirements along with a caring and cheerful disposition. First Aid training will be provided, if necessary. Qualifications and/or experience in childcare, training in nursing or in a health and social care setting would be an advantage.
