Job overview

The Governors are looking to appoint one or more Assistants to join the team monitoring and encouraging children to behave appropriately and be mannerly, play happily and safely and at meal times to eat nicely whilst enjoying their lunch.

The role requires a positive attitude of commitment, caring, responsibility, flexibility, self-sufficiency and also the ability to work as part of an experienced group.   

The post details are:

  • To start as soon as possible.
  • Term time only plus Inset training days, i.e. 39 weeks p.a.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Total hours and timings range between 0.25hr. to 1.25hrs. per day.
  • Salary is based on the APT&C pay scale Range A1, scale 2 point 3.
  • Either a permanent or fixed term contract.


Your application should demonstrate and include evidence of:

  • Previous experience working with children in a formal capacity and being a positive, caring and energetic role model.
  • The ability to work independently and also with and under the guidance of colleagues as part of the team.
