Mealtime Assistant [Job Ref:220111]

Morice Town Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Mealtime Assistant to join the School in February 2022.

Hours/Contract: Part-time, term-time, Permanent position: 6.25 hours per week (12:00pm-1:15pm), 38 working weeks per year

The Role:  We are seeking to appoint an excellent Mealtime Assistant. This is an opportunity for a calm, cheerful individual who enjoys working with children to join our team, supporting pupils during the lunchtime period.

The Person: We are looking for candidates who can:

• Supervise the children during lunchtime, encouraging good table manners and healthy eating.

• Promote positive behaviour and safe active play in the playground

• Deal with minor first aid incidents recording them as required in the accident books.

• Be part of the whole school team ensuring our children are ‘ready, respectful and safe’ in our school 

School Background: Morice Town Primary Academy is friendly primary school situated in Devonport. The school has a strong, committed team of teachers and teaching assistants striving to provide our children with a rich and diverse curriculum developing our five learning dispositions of being resourceful, open, aspirational, resilient and reflective learners. We aim for all our pupils to leave us with the skills and knowledge to know ‘who we are and where we are in the world.’
