The Creative Media department are looking for a 0.6 Instructor as part of our maternity cover arrangements, to support our Higher Education Programmes, including a Foundation Degree in TV and Film and BSC top up.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled Technician and Instructor to provide technical support, facilitation and instruction across a range of Higher Education TV and Film disciplines. Candidates need to support our high expectations in supporting our learners both on a campus setting, but also out on location, requiring a high level of technical competence and up to date knowledge of video production and editing techniques. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of working in a production environment.

A level 6 Degree (Preferable Science based) or equivalent in TV and Film Production is essential as is experience and practical application of up to date video and editing skills. The successful applicant should have a showreel of previous production work to demonstrate industry expectations and application and a high level technical vocabulary. You should also have previous experience of instructing, facilitating and or supporting adult learners towards meeting agreed targets and be fully proficient in the latest Adobe CC suite of products in particular Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Encore including a variety of editing, post production and colour grading techniques

Industry Experience of TV and Film production would prove advantageous.

Lichfield Campus, close to the city centre, is unique in offering further education courses, and also higher education in partnership with Staffordshire University. Our £3 million School of Art, Design and Media, is housed in purpose built accommodation which opened in 2006. The School of Art received the highest possible grade  “outstanding provision”  in the latst OfSTED inspection report.

A “Business Village” on the campus comprises serviced units enabling local businesses to operate in a campus setting.

The Lichfield Campus makes use of a high technology link to promote and develop new learning strategies which will provide opportunities for students to complete a variety of levels of higher education courses up to and including Masters Degrees, without leaving the local community.

Courses include a wide range of HND/Cs and Foundation Degrees plus a full range of short courses in Business and Management, and Computing and IT.

We also provide many services for local businesses, including consultancy, room-hire, discrete courses and general help and advice.
