Smart Teachers is recruiting for a high performing Media Studies Teacher to join a successful secondary school located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The chosen candidate will be joining one of the highest attaining state schools in London. Ofsted rated this school “Good” with special praise for the quality of teaching as well as the senior management team. The successful Media Studies Teacher will be expected to maintain this level of excellence, and help the school to strive to become “Outstanding”. There are opportunities for career development and management positions at this wonderful school. The position will start after October half term.

About the Role

  • Media Studies Teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning of the subject and therefore help all pupils achieve exceptional academic results
  • Be involved in the development of an engaging and challenging curriculum that will inspire learners to appreciate the subject and its application 
  • Commencing in October 2018, the Media Studies Teacher will be employed under a Fixed Term Contract with the potential to go Permanent

In order to be considered for this role, the Media Studies Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Good Based First Degree Specialism
  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
