Two positions are available

The Medical Needs Tuition Service is a team of specialised teachers who work with children of statutory school age who are too unwell to attend school onsite. We work in one to one capacity, either with the child in their home, in a public space (such as a library) or when the child is transitioning back to their school, in school. Our teachers teach children of any statutory school age (so from Early Years to KS4) the core subjects, and full training will be provided for this, however wide ranging experience would be advantageous.

We expect our teachers to be highly organised, creative in delivering learning and also committed to working within a wider team of professionals (usually health professionals, school colleagues and at times social workers) to be part of improving outcomes for some of our most pushed out children. Our teachers must be highly IT literate and able to work off of their own initiative.

Our children have mental and/or physical health needs, and some have undiagnosed SEND needs as well. We expect our teachers to be curious, open and sensitive to the needs of our children.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are Maths or Science teachers in secondary settings currently, but please don’t be put off applying if your specialism falls outside of this.
