We are looking for a proficient and adaptable Medical Response Officer to join our supportive and friendly support staff team as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will work as a Medical Response Officer and be the first point of contact for student, staff or visitor illness or incident as well as overseeing the administration of prescribed medicine for students. The Medical Response Officer is expected to liaise with parents, carers, emergency services and key staff to ensure an efficient and effective service delivery. The Medical Response Officer is expected to adhere to all school policies and complete all necessary administration accurately and within the specified time scales.
Applicants must possess a minimum of five GCSE passes at Grade C or equivalent including literacy, numeracy and hold a First Aid qualification. The Medical Response Officer will have the ability to safely manage and prioritise student medical requirements as our Medical Room can become very busy.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:
• Relevant and recent experience of working within the medical field (including schools);
• An understanding of child and family dynamics and child development;
• A qualification in First Aid and be up to date with current medical recommendations;
• An ability to prioritise and remain calm and positive at all times even under pressure.

Hours are 32.5 hours per week, term time only (plus two INSET days), Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (to include 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Please note that working hours may be negotiable.
