The successful applicant’s prime responsibility will be to provide specialist support to students with mental health difficulties at both our Truro and Penzance campuses. The successful candidate will meet with individual students to assess support and needs. The Mental Health Adviser will also liaise with tutors, staff, community workers and carers where appropriate to facilitate educational attainment and retention of students allowing them to personally progress and achieve. For this rewarding position, candidates should have qualifications within the mental health/psychiatric field with a strong interest in the mental well-being of students and considerable proven experience. Due to the interagency working aspect of this role excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential. Travelling between sites may be necessary.
