Job overview

ABC Teachers are working with an Outstanding SEND School in Leicestershire who are looking for Learning Support Assistants that are able to start work immediately, covering multiple roles at the school which will change weekly.


The school caters for students aged aged 4-19 with various special educational needs, primarily being ASD, PMLD and SLD. They keep the pupils at the heart of everything they do, enabling them to promote an inclusive, happy, safe and healthy learning culture and environment.



The school requires:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification which is relevant to the role. (ESSENTIAL)
  • You must have previous experience (within the last 2 years) working with Special Needs Children, which we will be able to reference, ideally in a school setting. (ESSENTIAL)
  • You must show a passion for supporting children with special needs. (ESSENTIAL)
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Additionally, those with experience in Makaton, Team Teach & Personal care are highly desired and suited to this role.

What to do next:

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
