The Governors wish to appoint a highly-motivated, innovative and enthusiastic practitioner to the post of Second in MFL. The successful candidate will join an established, successful department and will be expected to have a proven track record of achieving pupil excellence. The post will equally suit an experienced middle leader or an aspiring teacher seeking their first leadership role.
The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'.

Essential: QTS, relevant Honours Degree, the ability to teach French at KS3, the ability to offer German or Spanish at GCSE level, minimum one year's successful teaching of MFL with evidence of leadership skills.

Holy Cross Catholic High School (full name, Holy Cross Catholic High School, A Sports and Science College) is a mixed, Roman Catholic secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. It is a voluntary aided comprehensive school for about 800 schools and is located in Chorley, Lancashire.
It was established by the Catholic Community of the Chorley Deanery, under the trusteeship of the Liverpool Archdiocese. The school was formerly two separate schools, one for boys and one for girls. The boys’ school was known as St Augustine’s, while the girls’ was called St Hilda’s.
