Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the college by providing MIDAS training and assessing for Minibus Drivers at the college. Applicants will need to have held a D1 licence for a minimum of 3 year and ideally you will be a qualified MIDAS Driver Assessor and Trainer or be willing to work towards this (undertake a three-day training course leading to Standard DAT Qualification). The role will involve assessing the competence of college minibus drivers, and providing them with training on how to safely use a minibus. The successful candidate should have a broad understanding of driver assessment, coaching & training with knowledge of road safety issues. The ability to convey & disseminate information to trainees in both a classroom & in-vehicle environment along with making impartial decisions for the colleges drivers is essential. Hours could be varied throughout the year, however there will be flexibility for the successful candidate when arranging and planning the training and assessment of College Minibus Drivers.
