We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Midday Assistants to join our dedicated team at Gorsey Bank. The position is term-time only, working 12-1.30pm Monday to Friday.
Flexible working days will be considered.
In addition you will be required to attend relevant meetings and participate in training opportunities and performance development as required for the effective delivery of the role.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working with children and a first aid qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training. They will be enthusiastic in engaging children in a range of playtime activities and ensuring that our behaviour and safety policies are adhered to.
You will be part of a growing Multi Academy Trust with many opportunities for development, training and progression.
• Ensures the safety of pupils during the lunchtime period; taking into account pupil ages, disability and behaviour
• Arranges age-appropriate activities for pupils during inclement weather and supports classroom cover during these times
• Checking for and locating pupils who have failed to turn up for lunch, sending out pupil runners to toilets, classrooms, school grounds etc, and alerting and checking with teaching staff in order to establish reasons for their failure to attend
• Clearing and cleaning lunch tables at the end of service and working with team to put away table and chairs, clearing the hall floor and other general cleaning duties
