New Rickstones Academy is graded ‘Good’ and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike. Staff benefits include a Health Cash Plan and Local Government Pension Scheme. Academy staff also receive discounted membership at Witham Leisure Centre.

We are recruiting a Midday Assistant to help to join our team to maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of our students during the midday break and undertake cleaning in and around dining areas.  You will support our ‘discipline with dignity’ approach (for which we will provide training) to foster a supportive and friendly atmosphere for our students.   The successful candidate will be able to maintain a safe working environment, be able to work well as part of a team and possess good communication and people skills.  

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 1-2pm, 38 weeks per year (term time only). There are two compulsory induction training sessions for all new starters which take place on Mondays from 315-430pm.

This position is based at New Rickstones Academy. However, as we work closely with our sister academy, Maltings Academy (also in Witham), all new contracts are to work across both academies.

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham.  This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand. Over the last 8 years, student numbers have more than doubled, leading to oversubscription and the addition of a new building in September 2022 to accommodate the growing demand.
