Bobby Moore Academy is now recruiting for a Midday Supervisor.

Our Midday Supervisor team is the one of the key elements that supports out students, during social times.

The successful applicant will be part of a team that offers support during the student social times as well as always approaching any task with a positive and hard-working ethos. Our Midday Supervisors go above and beyond to support students during the school day. 

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to become part of this integral team at Bobby Moore Academy.

About our Academy

Bobby Moore Academy is an all through school, providing a world-class education for the children of east London which is transformational in its impact on their life chances. We are situated across two iconic sites on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and our Secondary phase is now heavily oversubscribed. We are building partnerships with the new East Bank development, bringing incredible opportunities to the young people of East London.

About the role

Your role will be to supervise and assist children during lunchtime, inside the school and in the playground, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner.

To lead on the cleanliness of the dining hall by clearing up spillages, rubbish, wiping down tables and ensuring the bins are not overflowing

To be responsible to the Deputy Head  and Head of Primary, in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school, for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils in the school Dining Hall and outdoors on the playground and All-Weather Training Area

Who we are looking for 

  • Able to communicate effectively with students and parents to represent the Academy positively and feedback information as appropriate
  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
  • Be able to talk to children and adults in a clear and calm manner
  • Work as part of a group and on own initiative
  • Encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
  • Inspire trust and confidence in children
  • Ability to empathise with the needs of children

Salary & Benefits

NJC2 Inner London £24,341 (£5,605 pro rata)

10 hours per week - 12 noon to 2pm Monday to Friday - term time only (38 weeks)
