Shenstone School is a primary special school (2-11) for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. We are based across two sites - the Early Years Centre is in Sidcup (Nursery – Year 1) the main school site is in Crayford (Year 2 – Year 6). The school is committed to pupil progress and celebrating the achievement of the individual child. Shenstone School was judged as a 'good' school by Ofsted November 2015.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dynamic Midday Supervisors on a permanent basis. We are looking for flexible people to bring enthusiasm to the school team. Main duties include feeding pupils, supervising tables of pupils and supporting the pupils at play. It is a physical Job (using slings and Hoists). Daily duties involve manual handling and Team Teach Techniques You need to be conscientious, reliable and hard-working and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being able to support the team. . The pupils are amazing and will give you a sense of achievement when they make progress, however small. Training will be given on many aspects. Previous applicants need not apply.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages. Please note the school office closes for half term at 4.30pm on Friday 20th October, and does not re-open until 8.30am Monday 30th October.
