Grade/Salary: Band 1, SCP 1-3

Contract: Permanent

St. Joseph’s School strives to enable every child to reach their own potential. Whilst we are proud, and rightly so, of our academic achievements, which continue to be among the best in the city, developing the whole child is equally, if not more important. Critical to this, however, is the support we give the children as they continue their spiritual journey by helping them develop a fuller understanding of their faiths and beliefs.

As a Talk for Writing training school, we are passionate about the teaching of English and how this can underpin the whole curriculum.

You are warmly invited to come to school, to look around, meet children and staff and soak up the distinctive atmosphere of St. Joseph’s School.

We are proud of our school as a place of learning, prayer, and happiness.

Hand in hand with God, Our Lady and St Joseph, we promise to work hard and to be kind to one another so that we can grow stronger together in our faith.

Hand in Hand with God we learn!

You will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team to supervise pupils and the school premises during the lunchtime break
  • Promoting pupils’ independence, inclusion and cooperation
  • Maintaining the safety and welfare of pupils at lunchtime

What are we looking for?

If you enjoy working with children and you are a great communicator then we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative to respond appropriately to the needs of pupils and support pupils to eat their meals and have a safe and enjoyable lunch break.

The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to satisfactory references, which will be requested, prior to interview, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, medical check, evidence of qualifications plus verification of the right to work in the UK.

Please note that the closing date may be brought forward depending upon interest.
