  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

St Joseph’s College is a new P-12 Catholic College in Coomera. In 2020 the College will grow to include classes from Prep to Year 5 and Years 7 and 8.  Dynamic, flexible and innovative thinking professionals, who are suitably qualified and wish to work in an exciting and rewarding P-12 environment are encouraged to apply. 


An ability and keenness to teach across multiple subject areas will be highly regarded.  Subject areas include:  

  • Religious Education, 
  • Mathematics, 
  • English, 
  • Science, 
  • Humanities, 
  • Chinese (Mandarin), 
  • Visual Art, 
  • all Technology subjects (Digital, Design, Food and ICT) 
  • Physical Education.   


Teachers must be prepared to work in a P-12 context and be willing to participate in full P-12 College events and practices. Successful candidates will be flexible and forward thinking in their approach to classrooms and fully conversant with current best practice in learning and teaching.  For BCE employees this is demonstrated practice and understanding of the Effective and Expected Practices of the BCE Model of Pedagogy. For all other applicants this is demonstrated knowledge and application of the model of pedagogy used in their school and an understanding of the BCE Model of Pedagogy.   Strong consideration will be given to applicants who have experience teaching their first and second teaching areas and are able to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or be eligible for accreditation to teach Religious Education.

St Josephs College, Coomera is a Brisbane Catholic Education master planned co-educational College that opened in January 2019. The College is located in Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast, 40 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
