About the role

Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers is seeking an experienced and dedicated Middle Leader - Mathematics to teach Junior and Senior Mathematics (General Mathematics preferred). This role is a Full Time, Fixed Term position for Semester 2, 2022.  Permission to Teach (PTT) may be considered.

The Middle Leader Mathematics supports the mission of Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers through leadership of the learning and teaching program. The Middle Leader will ensure that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels and will ensure quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate supervision. The Middle Leader will utilise thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions and develop appropriate partnerships within and outside of the college, along with prudently administering available resources.

The Middle Leader Mathematics demonstrates leadership in three dimensions: leadership of teaching and learning, human leadership and strategic leadership. The Middle Leader also demonstrates an understanding of, commitment to and support for the values and ethos of Catholic education.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
  • It is a requirement of this role that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required as a pre-commencement document.
