History and Ethos

The British International School of Marbella (BISM) is one of the leading international schools in Marbella offering contemporary British international education to students in Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. Since opening in 2010, BISM has become the school of choice for expatriate and Spanish parents looking to provide their children with highest levels of education.

The school forms part of The British Schools Foundation (BSF). We view character development as an essential part of our work. We rely on teachers with the experience to nurture independence of mind, resilience, and a caring disposition in our pupils.

Location and Facilities

In June 2020 the school moved into a brand new, state of the art campus in the Nagueles region of Marbella. A purpose built Foundation Stage Campus opens in August 2024.

Career Development and Benefits

A career with BISM offers all the opportunities associated with a dynamic, global organisation. We offer a competitive salary, and provide fantastic learning and continuing professional development opportunities, both within the school and across The British Schools Foundation network. Many of our teachers have been with BSF for many years, have experienced working in several countries and have developed their careers within the organisation.

The Future

BISM continues to strengthen its ambition of being the region’s most respected and highest achieving school. Our GCSE results reflect this ambition with 70% of our GCSE's being graded from 7-9. Our recently opened Sixth Form has the stated aim of ensuring all of our pupils achieve a place at their first choice University.
