History and Ethos

The British School of Brasilia (BSB) is one of the leading international schools in Brasilia offering contemporary British international education to students in Early Years and Primary School. Since opening in 2016, BSB has become the school of choice for expatriate and Brazilian parents looking to provide their children with highest levels of education.

The school forms part of The British Schools Foundation (BSF), an established family of 10 schools that extend across the world in Asia, South America and Europe. We view character development as an essential part of our work. We rely on teachers with the experience to nurture independence of mind, resilience, and a caring disposition in our pupils.

Location and Facilities

BSB is located in the exclusive district of Lago Sul. The school enjoys a spacious, green, clean-air environment, located in the heart of the city’s schools quarter. The building itself was designed by renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer and also features murals by artist Athos Bulcão.

The buildings offer visually impressive and inspiring learning environments, with playgrounds and facilities that are age appropriate, safe and enjoyable. The accompanying facilities match that of any top international school, not only in terms quality, but also in how they enhance the education we provide.

Career Development and Benefits

A career with BSB offers all the opportunities associated with a dynamic, global organisation. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, including housing, international medical cover, annual flights, relocation allowance and bursaries for accompanying children.

We also provide fantastic learning and continuing professional development opportunities, both within the school and across The British Schools Foundation network. Many of our teachers have been with BSF for many years, have experienced working in several countries and have developed their careers within the organisation.

The Future

BSB currently offers education up to Year 11 with plans to open an additional year group in each new academic year to Year 13. In an increasingly competitive market, BSB continues to strengthen its ambition of being the region’s most respected and highest achieving school.
