Job overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced middle school Science teacher for our growing school here in Wuxi, Jiangsu China. The right candidate will have good interpersonal skills to work positively with teachers from different cultures. They will have a passion for teaching and for students and are keen to learn about different curricula and Chinese culture. 

The post also involves teaching combined Sciences (Biology/Physics/Chemistry) to middle school students. Many of our students have English as an Additional language so experience of teaching these kinds of learners is a must. 

We have a primary school and a kindergarten on site. Our International Secondary School has a board range of subjects at IGCSE and IB Diploma, the middle school Science follows the Cambridge Checkpoint Curriculum.

In order to meet the strict visa requirements for China the candidate will need to have at least two full time years teaching in experience as a Science Teacher with references to verify this. The candidate will need, and not limited to, a recent police check (notarised), their highest degree certificate (notarised) and a medical check. There is an age restriction for work visas in China.
