Learning is life’s greatest adventure and at Fulham Prep we want every child to arrive each day with a sense of joy, excitement and wonder at what lies ahead. School should be fun and our innovative curriculum, relaxed and happy ethos and excellent teachers, offer just that, in and beyond the classroom.

We want our children to find what they love and to feel inspired to explore those areas with open hearts and minds. That can happen because of our strong commitment to each individual and the school’s uniquely supportive environment in which all children feel valued and able to contribute on a daily basis.

We value kindness and service to others, which we see everyday in the warm relationships between our staff and pupils and between the pupils themselves. There is nothing more important than being kind and a day does not go by when it is not seen in a thousand ways across this wonderful school. We seek to develop young people with a sense of gratitude, an understanding of responsibility and a deep and genuine care for others.

When asked what they most love about their school, our children are quick to talk about their teachers and for good reason. At Fulham Prep we are fortunate to have such a professional, committed and caring staff who share their sense of fun and joy with the pupils as they seek to support each child in an individual way. When our pupils come to think of their future schools, they will face a dizzying array of options. Some will continue on to Fulham Senior. Others will seek places at a great variety of day or boarding schools. Wherever they go next, we want them to face their futures full of confidence and good heart, with dozens of adventures under their belts, with great friends, well-informed minds and with the intellectual confidence and resilience not only to take on the challenges ahead of them but to actively seek them out. Fulham Prep children are ready for anything.

We hope our website gives a flavour of life at Fulham Prep but there is no substitute for a visit in person to feel for yourselves what makes this such a special place to come to school. About Fulham School

Fulham School is independent and co-educational, providing a rich and diverse curriculum to boys and girls from Reception upwards. Co-education and celebrating diverse abilities across academic, creative and sporting pursuits are at the heart of all we do.

There are three stages of the school, each with its own distinct identity, contributing to the breadth of each pupil’s experience as they progress:

• Fulham Pre-Prep:  from Reception to Year 2 (ages 4-7)
• Fulham Prep: from Year 3 to Year 8 (ages 7-13)
• Fulham Senior: from Year 9 upwards (ages 13 upwards)

Fulham Pre-Prep occupies a spacious site on Fulham High Street near Putney Bridge, including a lovely Victorian building, a modern purpose-built block and outdoor play, garden and sports spaces. Fulham Prep and Fulham Senior are located in a magnificent building on Greyhound Road with around an acre of outdoor space including a playground and sports pitch and has dedicated access to excellent local sports facilities.

Fulham School was founded in 1996 by Jane Emmett, who remains a governor. Since that time it has grown from a single class to a school of over 700 pupils while retaining the warmth and family atmosphere that Jane instilled.

In 2014 Fulham School was proud to join the global Inspired Group. Inspired educates over 31,000 students across an international network of 42 schools on five continents. Being part of the group gives us a remarkable wealth of talent and experience on which to draw and exposes our pupils to global perspectives and the best in educational approaches across the world.

We opened our Senior School in 2017, and officially became Fulham School (incorporating Fulham Pre-Prep, Fulham Prep and Fulham Senior) in 2018. The Prep School continues to prepare children for a range of destinations at 11+ and 13+. We believe that each pupil should follow the path that is right for them and are proud of the diversity of our outcomes – we regularly send pupils to 30 or more schools across London and nationwide. Fulham Senior remains one of the options available, not the only optional available, to Prep pupils.

When founding our Senior School we were guided first by parents and others in our community: we all felt there was a clear need for a local co-educational through-school that was not distorted by artificial and heavily tutored selection and an overly narrow set of educational outcomes. Fulham School seeks to meet that need, but to do more. We stand against some of the constraints and frustrations that mar the present system, and we offer a distinctive curriculum and fresh approach that aims to provide a genuine alternative.
