We are currently recruiting an MYP Coordinator. She/he will be part of a growing community, one that develops young people of talent and potential from Maputo to be the well-educated, ethical and pluralistic leaders of tomorrow. The successful candidate will  be responsible for disseminating relevant IB MYP communications and updates as well as leading and assisting staff in all matters pertaining to effective teaching and learning in the IB MYP. She/he will ensure that the highest standards of Academic Honesty are adhered to by students and teachers across all subjects in the Middle Years Programme.

In addition, the MYP Coordinator will support teachers in the development of excellent pedagogical practice through ongoing classroom observations and other forms of Professional Development. 

The successful candidate should show a commitment to the IB Middle Years Programme and have a strong  knowledge and understanding of secondary education as well as of school-university progression.

Opened in 2013, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo is a day and residential school, located in Maputo, Mozambique, offering an education built upon the renowned and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) programme for students aged 3-18. The Academy is part of the wider Aga Khan Academies network, which will, in time, form a global learning community of 18 schools in 14 countries across Africa, Europe, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East.

The Aga Khan Academy Maputo features a world-class, purpose-built campus in Matola city – located in the Maputo Province of Mozambique.
