Great Walstead is a dynamic Independent Day School nestled in the glorious Sussex countryside on a site of 250 acres, surrounded by fields and woodland. The School seeks to nurture academic ability, kind character and a spirit of adventure in our pupils, whose ages range from 2 ½ to 13 years old. The School believes that children are born creative, curious and imaginative.

We currently have a vacancy for a Minibus Driver and Maintenance Assistant. This is a fixed-term contract to 9th July 2025, with a possible extension to a permanent contract. You will work term time only, Monday to Friday, 6.45am – 12.45pm.

Duties will include:

  • Collecting students from set points on a given route and dropping them at school
  • Being responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all minibuses
  • Supporting the maintenance team with various tasks around the school and grounds

The successful candidate will:

  • Have held a full, clean driving licence for more than 3 years
  • Have the ability to work with others as part of a team and to respond to emergencies

Both residential and non-residential applications will be considered.
