The Downs Malvern is seeking an enthusiastic MIS Administrator with strong ICT skills to provide administrative support to ensure that the ISAMS database is accurate and up to date at all times.

Key Duties:

· To ensure that all pupil records on iSAMS are correct, as far as possible and that the system is up to date at all times;

· To assist with iSAMS training for new staff and INSET for existing staff;

· To provide telephone support to staff for iSAMS;

· To edit, match and upload pupil and staff photos to iSAMS at the start of, and during, the school year;

· To assist with curriculum management in order to maintain set lists;

· To provide staff with information from iSAMS, in various forms, as reasonably requested;

· To set up iSAMS reporting and assessment cycles as required;

· To set up iSAMS Tracking sheets as required;

· To print, collate and distribute draft and final reports and report cards in line with the published schedule and assist with checking them;

· To assist with the analysis of data in iSAMS Tracking Manager;

· To monitor the recording of attendance throughout the School ensuring that the records are up to date and complete at all times and to “pre-mark” registers, for reporting as appropriate to the Senior Management Team;

· To create and maintain user-defined groups in iSAMS for items such as school trips and to enter attendance marks in advance of school trips, exam leave etc;

· To build and maintain iSAMS reports as required; and

· To raise cases with iSAMS Technical Support as required.

Our approach to learning at The Downs Malvern is to establish a secure and productive relationship between teachers and, pupils so that children acquire knowledge and very importantly, thinking skills and individual learning styles. From the first day in our Nursery, we encourage children to work imaginatively, expressing their own thoughts and ideas.

Class-based teaching starts at age three in the Nursery to the end of Year 2 when subject teaching is gradually introduced, until Years 6, 7 and 8, when specialist teachers teach all parts of the curriculum. In years 7 and 8 the pupils complete the TDM Baccalaureate by following the core academic subjects at ISEB Common Entrance or scholarship level, and also undergo assessments in the Creative and Performing Arts, Sports and Co-Curricular activities to ensure they develop a well-rounded and balanced approach to the final stages of their Prep school education. Children here have many opportunities to expand and develop their education outside the classroom in our idyllic rural surroundings and to take advantage of our wonderful facilities both at the prep school and those we access at Malvern College.

Lessons are delivered by talented teachers in well-resourced classrooms. We prepare our pupils to move on to a wide range of senior schools; a significant proportion of our children go on to Malvern College, although our programme of study does afford parents the flexibility of choice.
