MIS and Data Lead

Salary: SO1 Pt. 29 to Pt. 31 (£26,470 to £28,221)

Contract: Full Time (37 hours p/w), 52 weeks, fixed-term 18 months

We are looking to appoint an MIS and Data Lead to join our small central data team and to support with the implementation of a new Management Information System (MIS) in our secondary schools. The successful candidate will also be required to provide on-going support to our 5 primary schools, who have already migrated to our new system, as well as giving data and assessment focused support to all our schools. 

Based at our central offices on the Nottingham University Triumph Road campus you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of our new MIS system which is being introduced in phases during 2020. This is a significant change for the Trust and the successful candidate will require excellent project management and communication skills to support with this agenda. You will be required to conduct training sessions for school staff, answer queries and support with all aspects of the initial migration of data and implementation in schools.

At the same time the role will also provide on-going support and development for our primary school staff who are already using our new MIS and the data and examinations staff within schools. This would include answering helpdesk tickets, setting up new user accounts on relevant system, troubleshooting problems as first line support, providing training and updating policies and procedures as necessary.

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience of providing support for database systems
• Experience of managing projects and conducting training
• Experience of manipulating data in Excel spreadsheets and creating bespoke spreadsheets from scratch
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven problem solving skills
