Together the Group forms a Sixth Form, Skills and Technology Centre, University Centre, employer training and adult learning provider delivering exceptional teaching and learning to all ages and at all levels. 


The Exciting Role 

The College Group is looking for two MIS Assistants to join our dedicated MIS and Registry team. One role will be based at Nelson and Colne College on a part-time, permanent basis working 29.6hrs per week. The other role will be based at Lancashire Adult Learning on a full-time, permanent basis working 37hrs per week.


What You Will Be Doing

• Work closely with (Management Information Systems) MIS Team Leaders, Curriculum areas and other stakeholders in relation to the timely and accurate processing and completion of tasks involving all aspects of MIS (to include):

o Completions and Destinations

o Course set up, amendment, cancellations, class closure and refunds

o Enrolment, withdrawals, early completers, transfers (including identifying omissions and discrepancies)

o Student Learner agreements

o O-line and telephone enrolment processes (to include pay pending reports to gather evidence or payments from students)


What We Are Looking For:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above

• Experience of working on and inputting data in a computerised information system

• Good working knowledge and practical experience of using Excel

• Good working knowledge and practical experience of Data input systems

• Experience of MIS and Registry procedures (highly desirable) 

• Experience of the EBS student records system (highly desirable)

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
