The Exciting Role 

The College Group is looking for a full-time MIS Registry Senior Assistant to join our dedicated MIS team on a permanent basis. Flexibility is required in this role as the successful candidate may be required to travel across any of the College campuses. 


What You Will Be Doing

• To support the MIS Registry Team Leader in ensuring that all timetables and registers are set up accurately on the MIS System relating to all funding streams and provision types (with a main focus on Lancashire Adult Learning Provision)

• To work closely with the LAL Curriculum Team and MIS colleagues in relation to timely and accurate course set up

• To support the team in relation to the enrolments process at main enrolment and throughout the year including roll-on roll off provision

• Support overseeing of LAL enrolment inbox with regards to timely responses and fair allocation within the team

• To ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in line with audit requirements



What We Are Looking For:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above or experience to demonstrate this level of knowledge

• Level 3 qualification or higher (highly desirable) 

• Experience of co-ordinating an administrative system

• Experience of planning of monitoring and reviewing processes

• Good working knowledge and practical experience of using Excel

• Experience of working on and inputting on a computerised information system

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
