We are recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join our team from September 2023.
The ability to teach Spanish and French in either or both subjects to KS3 students and GCSE level.
The post-holder may also be involved in planning and delivering Spanish lessons to KS2 students in the primary schools that are part of the Droylsden Schools Partnership work.

We will appoint a high-impact teacher who can deliver strong outcomes with their classes.
We are determined that the successful candidate will have:
- A passion for teaching in their specialist subject.
- Evidence of high impact teaching.
- Evidence of strong outcomes with groups at KS3 and KS4.
- Well-developed skills in marking and feedback to students, which leads to well-matched and challenging learning activities.
- Alignment with our trust and school values.
All candidates must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

About Droylsden Academy
Droylsden Academy is an 11-16 Co-Educational School in Tameside, Greater Manchester. It is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2022 and 2017). The Academy serves over 900 students and employs over 100 teachers and support staff. The school is heavily over-subscribed, has an impressive state -of-the art modern building and is in a very strong financial position.
The Tame River Educational Trust was founded in January 2022, with Droylsden Academy as its founding member. Our Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is a sponsored Trust (sponsored by Tameside College and Clarendon Sixth Form) and currently has one secondary school and an Associate Member secondary school (soon to become a full member).
Our Trust mission is to challenge educational and social disadvantage by hosting a family of great community-based schools in which to learn, teach and belong. Our Trust promotes learning, develops character, values diversity and builds cultural capital. By the age of 16 we want every student to progress to suitably challenging post-16 studies or apprenticeships.
