Motor Vehicle Instructor

As a Motor Vehicle Instructor at Cumberland School, you'll get the opportunity to deliver training and development within your area of expertise which will inspire our young people. You’ll have superb leadership, specialist support and state-of-the-art-facilities, allowing you to focus on delivering an innovative and engaging teaching programme which will inspire our young people. You will have on the job experience of Motor Vehicles and ideally a relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards completing one within two years. You will develop work placement opportunities with local employers to help our young people put their skills into practice. Ideally, you’ll have experience of dealing with complex education needs, as you’ll need to connect with our young people – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about and why you’ll fit right in.

Cumberland School is a co-educational day school based in Rivington near Horwich and currently provides for pupils aged 11 -18 with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Many pupils present with additional co-existing conditions progress., such as ADHD, attachment disorder and speech and language difficulties, which impact significantly on their learning and progress.
