Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a positive and enthusiastic Administrator to join our busy and successful Music department. 

The role of the Music Administrator is critical in ensuring the smooth running of the department and in supporting teachers and pupils in all aspects of musical endeavour. The job primarily involves administrative tasks, updating lists, booklets, timetables, displays, peripatetic data, concert and event details, music examination entry and attendance at department events.

There is one big concert per half term, which you would be expected to attend, in addition to an Open Morning and Come and Play Day. Other small events (i.e., informal concerts) are held during the year for which time off in lieu of attendance would be agreed. 

We require a candidate that is highly motivated, has excellent computer literacy and a strong administrative background. An interest and experience of working within a music related field is desirable, but not essential.

The post is part time (20 hours per week) working Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, term time only, plus 10 closure days to be worked during the school holidays (days to be agreed with your Line Manager).
