Smart Teachers Australia is recruiting for a secondary Music and Christian Studies teacher to join a top Christian school located in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia. The successful candidate is preferably active in their Christian faith, and demonstrates a willingness to integrate into the existing school culture. With a population of approximately 114,622, our client school is located in Toowoomba which is 125 km (78 mi) west of Queensland's capital city, Brisbane. A university and cathedral city, it hosts the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers each September and national championship events for the sports of mountain biking and motocross. There are more than 150 public parks and gardens in Toowoomba. It has developed into a regional centre for business and government services and often referred to as the capital of the Darling Downs.

About You:

In order to be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

  • Be eligible to teach in Australia (must have a visa)
  • Ability to provide a faith reference from Church Pastor
  • Possess the minimum relevant tertiary qualifications– Bachelor of Education/ PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Be registered, or have the ability to be registered with TRB Registration (Northern Territory Teacher Registration)
  • Provide a minimum of three professional references, including most recent Head Teacher
