Thisis an exciting opportunity for a strong musician to work in The Cedars Music Department. The successful candidate will most likely be an accomplished pianist and/or organist, able to accompany students in a diverse range of settings - such as GCSE recordings, school production auditions etc. Excellent organisational, communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential to the role.

This would suit a musician who is contemplating a career in teaching. Teacher training may be available within the first two years.

Early applicants are encouraged as all applications will be reviewed upon receipt. The Cedars School reserves the right to appoint an exceptional candidate before the advertised closing date/interview period.

Candidates will be asked at interview to:

• Take a rehearsal with one of the school ensembles

• Teach a song to a group of students

• A short performance on the piano

• Accompanying and coaching a soloist

• Sight-reading

The Cedars is a rapidly growing independent senior school for boys. Founded in 2013, there are currently 266 boys on roll from Years 7 to 13. The school attracts boys from a large geographical area, extending from parts of north London to Surrey.
