Music Department Administrator
We are seeking to appoint a Music Department Administrator starting June 2017 to work alongside and assist the three full-time music staff and team of over 20 visiting music teachers. St Albans School is a leading independent day school with an outstanding reputation for music and a very full calendar of musical events. It is hoped that the successful applicant will play a full and enthusiastic part in the life of this busy department.
There is a degree of flexibility regarding this post, depending on the skills and interest of the successful candidate, however, for this role previous administrative experience is essential along with a high level of organisational, interpersonal and ICT skills, excellent attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and database entry is essential. Some experience of, and an affinity for, music would be a distinct advantage.
Hours are 24 per week, to be worked on a regular timetable to be agreed with the Director of Music, Monday to Friday, during term time for 38 weeks per academic year (term time plus 2 weeks during school holidays). Occasional evenings & weekends are necessary. The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
