About Us

Our vision is to be a leading British International School offering consistently innovative and inspiring teaching and a broad enrichment programme that allows every student to develop their individual passions and interests delivered in world class facilities. We have highly valued partnerships with parents and the wider community. BSM is a great place to learn and a great place to teach.

Our mission is to provide all our students with high quality British Education for their International Future.

We are a non-profit, co-educational, British international day school that provides a comprehensive and balanced education to a mix of approximately 1250 English speaking expatriate students of over 66 nationalities.

As a High Performance Learning World Class School we now have a clear and explicit culture of high expectations, a consistent research based language for communicating the ways of behaving and thinking that lead to high performance and a flexible framework for developing our approach to pedagogy.

Our vision for High Performance Learning is as follows:

  • Everyone in the school, regardless of background or starting point, achieving the highest academic standards.
  • Equipping students with the values, attitudes and attributes that will serve them well in university, the workplace and their life.
  • Delivering these outcomes consistently, year on year, regardless of changes to context or circumstances.

The National Curriculum for England, including GCSEs and A levels, is enhanced by a diverse enrichment programme that inspires our students to develop their passions and explore and discover Oman’s beautiful mountains, wadis, deserts and coast. Students are taught in small classes by excellent and enthusiastic teachers in well-resourced classrooms. Students are supported to develop their leadership skills and encouraged to become active global citizens.
