We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Music Teacher to start either September 2021 or earlier by negotiation. We are interested in talking to both experienced teachers looking for a new challenge as well as newly qualified teachers at the beginning of their career. Our ideal candidate will have a passionate and uncompromising commitment to pupil achievement and be a believer in the potential of young people, with a mind-set that all young people can experience success. North Cambridge Academy is a small but growing school of 550 pupils where every member of staff makes a profound difference to children’s life chances. NCA is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted with ‘Outstanding’ leadership.
The music department has grown significantly over the last 5 years and has a variety of ensembles including a choir of sixty student voices, an orchestra, various bands, a steel pan band and a thriving year 7 music club. The music department also works with various organisations such as Voces8, Armonico Consort and Cambridgeshire Music to offer students a variety of projects and experiences, some of which have including performing at the Royal Albert Hall. Music is also a significant feature of the North Cambridge Academy Saturday School with a well-attended Saturday Orchestra.

We are situated to the north of the city, approximately a mile from the centre of Cambridge. There is easy access from the A14 and we are close to the new Cambridge North train station. Cambridge is a vibrant university city with a growing reputation as a great place to live.
