Job overview

Alderwood School has an exciting position to start in September 2021, teaching Music. We are looking for candidates that are willing to jump straight into the job and to work alongside an already established Performing Arts department to develop and encourage learning. We are an all through, 4-16 school and this vacancy is for a teacher who will initially be based at our senior site but will have the opportunity for professional development at our other sites. 


You will need to possess QTS and newly qualified teachers are certainly encouraged to apply. You will need to have or be willing to develop knowledge of the relevant subject matter as well as the techniques required to manage behaviour, not to mention the creative elements involved with teaching in the classroom.


The person appointed will:

• Challenge and inspire our pupils

• Contribute to the wider life of the school

• Have energy and enthusiasm to deliver lessons that will engage, enthuse and motivate our learners to achieve the best possible outcomes
