Rainbow International School, Kampala is a 3 – 18-year-old co-educational day and boarding school serving a mixture of expatriate and Ugandan families based in Kampala, wider Uganda and the East African region. 

Qualifications / Skills Experience:

● Qualification in Music e.g. B.A. in Music and B.Ed. / PGCE / QTS/ PGDE in the relevant subject area

● A working knowledge of Google Suite and the confidence to use technology in the classroom to support and enhance learning

● Able to play and teach musical instruments like the violin, piano, viola, guitar

● Committed to participating in extracurricular activities and being an active participant in the broader life of the school

● Must have proven ability/success in teaching EYFS (Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception) and Primary (Elementary, Junior) level students both individually and in groups

● Previous experience in an International School is an advantage (a minimum of 2 years)

● To have sound knowledge and practice of the National Curriculum for England. Knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum would be an advantage

● Language: Fluent English required in written and spoken elements 

● Ability to teach the theory of music and to play some classical and contemporary music instruments

Previous experience in an International school is an advantage
